CableNewser posts some items from his mailbag that discuss the pre-emption of Friday night’s “Nightline” last week.
The first comments, from STLViewer kind of make me want to ask, yet again, why media consolidation becomes a good idea? I never knew that local affiliates could wipe out entire evenings of programming. This commenter also states the local affiliate, KDNL, has a “policy not to broadcast ABC News Special Reports - no matter what the situation.” So what, you get the local newsheads? Oh, wait - they don’t have a local news department.
