Matt Sheffield of RatherBiased points out that Michael Moore and Harvey Weinstein are aiming high for “Fahrenheit 9/11,” putting it up for “Best Picture” at the Academy Awards.
More here.
Also: the Barista writes in to say that Michael Moore’s blog has left something to be desired, having a whopping two posts. Total.

Moore is looking for moore publicity. Plain and simple. He is a master manipulator and co-conspirator of the liberal media. I am playing into his hand. Enough said. Ignore him…please.
A partial outtake of an article I wrote a few weeks back:
Moore Money Than You Can Shake a Stick At
The liberal sewage has seeped into every nook and cranny of popular culture, the big screen being no exception. In perhaps the most walloping attack in the history of politics, President Bush was the bull’s eye of Michael Moore’s mammoth propagandist film “Farenheit 911″. To date, this work of fiction has grossed over $115 million in ticket sales. Even if you didn’t see the movie, it was hard to miss the message with the 24/7 attention it received in the press. This piece of trash still has legs with it’s eventual DVD release — the Democrats October Suprise. Armed with Farenheit’s conspiracy theories, its fair to assume that a large swath of the anti-Bush crowd is brainwashed with Moore’s misinformation. You would think that the relentless liberal onslaught would drag Bush’s ratings far below fifty percent in the election polls, but you’ve got to fool a lot of people to get a dud like Kerry elected.
In it’s entirety (shooting for a Coulter style):
Try As They Might, the Left Can’t Win

John Kerry, Reporting for Duty
Portraying himself as a strong military leader, John Kerry shamelessly underscored his four months of Vietnam service as the centerpiece of his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention, omitting his twenty plus years as a liberal senator from Massachusetts. Kerry won’t stand on his political record because American’s would reject him if they knew the real John Kerry.
By focusing the spotlight on his military experience, Kerry has rendered his Vietnam service fair game for debate. Predictably, the mainstream media is outraged that anyone would dare to attack John Kerry’s Vietnam record. (Of course, Bush’s military record was, is, and will be fair game.)
The Hypocritical Liberal Assault
Faster than you can say Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, the Kerry campaign filed a legal complaint against SBVT for “violating the law with inaccurate ads that are illegally coordinated with the Bush-Cheney presidential campaign.” Keep in mind this was a modestly funded ad campaign, somewhere in the neighborhood of $400k.
Meanwhile, President Bush was himself the target of $62 million (and counting) of negative advertising by the so-called “527″ organizations — tax-exempt organizations that engage in political activities. Liberal 527 groups outspend those favoring Bush by a 25 to 1 ratio. MoveOn.org, the most notorius of the 527 groups, has been airing offensive anti-Bush ads for over a year, even stooping so low as to comparing President Bush to Adolf Hitler. These people have no respect for the office of the presidency. I guess they figure it was sufficiently soiled during the Clinton years.

Choose a Loser
Encouraging the most easily manipulated voters, freshly indoctrinated from our public schools, MTV pushes the “Choose or Lose” voter registration drive onto gullible MTV viewers — the very same minds that put a no-talent singer like Ashely Simpson on top of the charts. Touted as non-partisan, the anti-Bush, pro-Kerry sentiment is blatant. Then there is “Rock the Vote“, music mogul Russell Simmons outreach to the hip hop community. Plenty of Republican voters in that group. Not. And more recently, Bruce Springsteen, REM, Pearl Jam, the Dixie Chicks and other misguided rockers kicked off the “Vote to Change” tour. Reminds me of a Dean supporter I saw on C-Span whom, when asked by a reporter “Why Howard Dean?”, the twenty something female replied “Why not Howard Dean?” Pure brilliance. One only hopes that these MTV kiddies stay home on election day and play-vote on the Total Request Live show.
Save a Tree
And let’s not forget the barrage of anti-Bush books, a cottage industry in and of itself. Many titles enjoyed wide exposure via CBSs “60 Minutes (of Bush Bashing)” and gushing reviews from the New York Times. “I’ve never seen anything like this, in terms of the volume and energy of books attacking a sitting president in an election year,” says Jeff Zaleski, an editor at Publishers Weekly. So many anti-Bush books, Barnes and Noble has a special section devoted to the genre. If liberals take control and we go back to the days of book burning, I know just the spot to pour the gas and light the match.
Dividing America
The left is fond of accusing President Bush of being a devisive president. Any intellectually honest person knows the stark partisan split was a deliberate campaign by left-wing whackos and a desperate Democratic Party. Here’s a small sample of Bush-hating quotes from our esteemed Washington leaders:
Robert Byrd -
“This Administration, now in power for a little over two years, must be judged on its record. I believe that that record is dismal.”
Hillary Clinton -
“They have the most wrong-headed economic policies that we’ve seen since Herbert Hoover.”
Tom Daschle -
“We also don’t know the circumstances involving his time in the National Guard, and I think that has to be clarified as well.”
Howard Dean -
“The most interesting theory I’ve heard is that Bush ignored warnings from Saudi Arabia about the (911) attacks.”
Dick Gephardt -
“This President is a miserable failure.”
Al Gore -
“He betrayed this country!”
Ted Kennedy -
“Iraq is George Bush’s Vietnam.”
Carl Levin -
“There’s a real question about Bush’s grasp of complex issues.”
Jim Mcdermott -
“This president is trying to bring to himself all the power to become an emperor — to create Empire America.”
Nancy Pelosi -
“Bush is an incompetent leader who lacks the judgment, experience or knowledge to make good decisions.”
That’s the kind of sensational rhetoric I would expect from a tabloid. Talk about dividing the isle. But, is Bush really that bad? Put yourself in the Democrats shoes and see things as they see it. They lost majority of the House, Senate, Judicial and Executive branch. Sans Slick Willy, the Democratic Party is frantic and will do or say anything to take back the White House.
Add It Up
MoveOn.org, Micheal Moore, biased voter registration drives, never ending Democrat bitterness, media bias — I could get Elmer Fudd elected as president with that kind of backing. Yet, here we are just two months away from election day and it’s still a horse race. The stakes are high folks. Let’s send a clear message to George Soro’s and the liberal elite by electing George W. Bush in 2004.
