Yes, TV news still has a place. In fact, it has a lot of places. It’s not just the national or local nightly news on broadcasts, or cable news, but there are just a ton of “news magazines” and I think a good number of them do a good job covering a story that just got a blip on the normal-ish news shows people think of, and just an ap story that people read on whatever flavor of news site they visit.
