The Charlotte Observer’s Scott Dodd writes about the unexpected email that the newspaper’s staff received this morning from managing editor Frank Barrows. The message stated that he is leaving the paper as of May 13.
What I love the most about this article is that Dodd manages to convey a good amount of feeling in the newsroom while still sticking to the “newsy” manner in which a story should be reported - which is surely difficult when you’re one step away from the subject.
