MTV is a multi-million dollar operation with their Overdrive website being one of the worst streaming video sites I’ve come across. Who ever designed their MTV Overdrive represents the ‘Peter Principle’ in action. For those who don’t know, the Peter Principle is a theory originated by Dr. Laurence J. Peter which states that employees within a hierarchical organization after having advanced to their highest level of competence, are then promoted to a level where they are incompetent, and then stay in that position. Who ever designed the Overdrive site was obviously promoted to the height of their incompetence!
When it lets me use Foxfire at 800×600 res and doesn’t require a ‘video optimizer’ be installed I might actually come back and use it. I’m not holding my breath. Good luck to all you Mac users.
