Google Publication Ads apparently running in Beta

November 9th, 2005 · 5 Comments

Just was reading through some posts on AdJab, and was looking through an item Chris Thilk wrote about Google supposedly testing print advertisements in Chicago-area newspapers. After doing a little digging, we came up with much more details on Google’s efforts in the area, currently called Google Publication Ads, running off the AdWords platform - by invitation only.

Keep it tuned over at AdJab for more on this, as it comes out.

Aaron Brown is the best news anchor out there on TV. It is a disgrace on CNN’s part that he was fired. Newsnight with Aaron was the only place on TV where the TV listener was not being rapid fired at. We need the compassion and sensitivity of Aaron to keep our sanity. CNN certainly ruined my nightly news watching by letting Aaron go. In protest I will be watching MSNBC and will be signing the Bring Back A. Brown Petition at http://www.bringbackaaronbrown.com/ J. Aaron Brown was the reason that I started watching CNN. I have to say that I rarely watch CNN anymore. Cooper is good, but should not take the place of Brown. Whichever network gets Brown will be lucky. He made news enjoyable, put a personal touch on stories, and showed that he really cared. Big mistake CNN!!!!

Aaron Brown brought substance and maturity to CNN. He’s too valuable to not find a home as a prime time anchor. I’m surprised CNN couldn’t see that.
