The Media Drop

If you haven’t seen the crying girl, Ashley Ferl, then you’ve probably been under a rock since 9pm on Tuesday night. I, for one, flew home from California with her sitting just across from me last night. Turns out she and her family were on their way to New York City to go on NBC’s “Today” show this morning, all because of what went on on Tuesday night. Her father informed me that they’d probably not be getting much sleep for the next day or so, but they were really excited to be going to New York City, where they hadn’t been before. While I think they’re probably being pulled in multiple directions right now by all kinds of media outlets, they seemed to be taking things well and were all smiles and very happy to talk about what was going on with them right now with those sitting around them. (and in that last Twitter post, I was referring to her father, as using “husband” read out of place without a message in between)

Kind of an amusing brush with what’s news these days, after we had been chatting about it during the day in the office out in Irvine.
