Awesome funeral campaign

October 11th, 2007 · No Comments

I love print ads. Beyond the fact that I bought a lot of print ad space and got to see the ins and outs of it as I began my career in marketing, I always enjoyed print because it’s a non-verbal, non “heavy” way of getting your point across. Hitting that mark perfectly - or at least my personal mark - is this campaign by ACLC, Toronto for the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Mount Pleasant Cemetery - Piano

The concept is super simple - people don’t plan for funerals or for their own untimely demise. So, what do you do? You put it all in perspective. Sure, we’re not all going to parachute, lower pianos down to the ground, or tightrope, but it’s all about keeping in mind that you’re just *that* close to buying the farm. Let’s make that even more interesting by placing the cutting line for the coupon good towards your funeral planning right through the only thing keeping our cartooned person out of harm’s way, and you’re good to go.
