What we’ll be watching - or not

The Hollywood Reporter’s Nellie Andreeva and Etan Vlessing are talking about how U.S. networks are bringing content to the air that is Canadian in origin. Of course, Americans have been snagging good ideas from other countries for years, just in dribs and drabs (most good game shows, plus NBC’s The Office, to name a few). Will this solve the problem that we’re about to start having in really bad fashion, with our television networks full of reruns, random pickup of new eps of our favorite shows, and entirely too many reality shows? Probably not, but thankfully for the networks they’ve only got four months left until the summer season, a time when they’re going to have some serious thinking to do if the writers’ strike has no end in sight.
