Sampling seems to be getting an overhaul

Even if artists wanted their work to be sampled by other musicians, it wouldn't be legal, according to a court decision in Ohio earlier this week. Jay Smooth at hiphopmusic.com has the details on the situation. This is a pretty interesting move by the court, and one I expect to get further play across the U.S. legal system.
