According to a press release on PRNewswire by Universal McCann, a global media/ad agency, a majority of people surveyed have stated they would continue to read the Martha Stewart Living publication. In a quote from Susan Nathan, SVP & Director of Media Knowledge at the agency, it's stated that "Once again we find that consumers view Martha Stewart the person and Martha Stewart the brand as separate entities. While the vast majority of women believe she is guilty, it is clear they are very loyal to her magazine."
The most important bullet point in the release to me was this one:
When asked if Martha Stewart's conviction would affect how they view those advertisers that support her magazine, the vast majority said it would have no impact at all
Well, if we can put significant creedence into this report from Universal McCann, then perhaps not only will the Martha Stewart Brand continue, but maybe those folks that got in the stock late last week at bargain prices will end up making some serious cash in the process.
Additionally, Stewart-branded products seem to be selling well at various Kmart stores, according to stories here and here.
the question is, though, will it be distributed free in prisons? ;)
