Barcepundit has a post with an advertisement for El Pais, a newspaper from Spain that you absolutely have to look at.
As far as I can tell, it's a real advertisement. And as horrible as it is, I urge you to post about it if you have a blog and send it to everyone you know.
Thanks to Michele at A Small Victory for posting about it.
[update] Blogger Dr. Floyd calls out this blog (and I expect many others) by stating that this is a hoax. He does have a point, that I absolutely didn't confirm myself on this, and that's my bad. More information here. Both sites are in Spanish.
[update] Barcepundit comments that there is more evidence showing why it isn't a hoax at all.
That's simply not true. A hoax. A fake. Name it the way you want, but, please, rectify your post. You can confirm this contacting the newspaper "El País" at +34 91 353 7900. And next time you want to publish or comment something about such a sensible topic, please confirm it before. Thank you.
Posted by: drfloyd at September 16, 2004 7:07 AMIt's not a fake:

I'm the author of Barcepundit: don't you think it's a good idea to check any flat out denials with no evidence, only assertions?
I explain in this new post why it doesn't look like a hoax at all: http://barcepundit-english.blogspot.com/2004/09/more-on-sick-advertisement-from-el.html
Posted by: Franco Alemán at September 16, 2004 9:25 AMYes, sadly, it was not a fake. The ad was so disgusting it was really difficult to believe that came from "El País". My apologies for my previous comment, based in wrong info that wasn't verified enough.
You can find an apology from the newspaper here:

Franco Aleman, I was waiting for the confirmation from "El País" to rectify my comments and, unfortunately, I don't have all the time I would like for writing "at the moment".
Posted by: drfloyd at September 16, 2004 5:04 PMThis is the explanation El Pais sent me, but it is in Spanish, so I have no comment-
