Newspaper ad rates subject to discussion

MediaPost's Michael Shields writes that while the American newspaper circulation declines that were announced earlier this week came out lower than expected, "advertisers are expected to demand lower rates."

I'm a buyer and it will never happen. As long as TimesRidderMirrorCorp have shareholders the advertisers will get the short end of the stick.

The joke in my office is the circ falling and the rates rising are like ships passing in the night. Quickly.
